This year, Borrelli + Partners, Inc. participated in its fourth “We Care” Event for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida in Pine Hills on December 5th, 2012.

The non-profit and business partnership known as We Care, unites the Boys and Girls Clubs of America with furniture manufacturers and dealers as well as the area’s leading Architectural and Interior Design firms in hosting a holiday gathering for children in need. The event is a way to help raise the children’s spirits as a prelude to the holidays, and allow them to create seasonal gifts and keepsakes for themselves and their loved ones. For some of these children, these may be the only gifts they receive for the holiday season. The crafts from all teams included items such as decorating baked goods, magnets, ornaments, picture frames, keepsake boxes, and even stuffing teddy bears. The event also incorporated musical entertainment, snacks, face painting, gift wrapping stations and a special visit from Santa.

This year, B+P helped over 230 children to create their own Christmas card with special wishes by allowing them to use their imagination and expressive creativity with construction paper, glue, foam stickers, glitter and other decorative accessories. In addition, each child also designed their own color scratch ornament and was given additional holiday handouts consisting of yo-yo’s, hand bracelets with inspirational messages and most importantly, candy.

Overall, the event turned out to be a true success as B+P was proud of the opportunity to help each child with their craft and bring a few more smiles to not only their faces, but ours as well.
