Client: Orange County

Size: 2,300,000 SF

Summary

The Phase V expansion of the Orange County Convention Center consisted of approximately 1,000,000 square feet of unobstructed exhibit hall space, 218,020 square feet of meeting rooms, 511,730 square feet of public circulation, lobbies, concourses, and pre-function space along with 1,124,990 square feet of back-of-house facilities. Because of current land opportunities, several nationally known hotels are planning to construct facilities that will be linked directly to the convention center expansion, making this convention center one of the most unique in the country.

The Phase V expansion is located across the street from the original facility and is now connected with a pedestrian bridge. This bridge has direct access to the Rosen Centre Hotel and connects the West Building to the North/South Concourse.

Borrelli + Partners’ role on this project was to assist in the design, development and production of architectural construction documents. Additionally, the firm was also involved with the design and production of the facility's hardscape, site amenities, and fountains.
