Ft. Sam Houston Child Development Center

As part of a Design-Build team, Borrelli + Partners was selected by the U.S. Army Engineering & Support Center to design a Child Development Center at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. This LEED certified facility accommodates up to 180 children ages 6-10 and is being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Borrelli + Partners’ scope of work includes providing complete architectural and engineering services from schematic design through construction administration. This Child Development Center is a one story building with three large atrium spaces, performing arts studio, arts and science classrooms, a computer lab and homework center. It also contains a commercial kitchen, demonstration kitchen, gymnasium, and large exterior playground. All administration facilities and support areas are housed within the building as well.
