Black Bear Habitat Breaks Ground Fri, May 27, 2016
The central Florida Zoological Park and Botanical Garden’s Black Bear Habitat, that B+P designed, officially broke ground on April 21st, 2016. With the number of encounters between black bears and humans increasing in Florida, the habitat will educate the public on how to co-exist with the wild animals harmoniously.
The habitat will include a replica house, where zoo goers learn tips on how to live with bears that wander into residential areas. The habitat will be home to three Florida Black Bears. The habitat is set to open later this summer.
