Hunter Army Airfield Youth Center Achieves LEED Gold Certification Fri, Nov 9, 2012
We are excited to announce are second project to receive the LEED© Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council at no additional cost to our client, the US Army Corps of Engineers. The $7.4 Million, 22,160 SF Child Development Center accommodates up to
135 children ages 11-18 and is being funded through the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act.
The Youth Center consists of a one-story building that has a large teen room with a covered canopy extension for outdoor activities, a 6,664 SF multi-purpose room, equipment storage, four activity rooms, a technology lab, two common /gathering areas, a culinary/snack bar, three offices, staff lounge, restroom facilities that are ADA compliant and support areas for mechanical, electrical and communications.
