Our John Young Parkway Pedestrian Bridge Project Breaks Ground Thu, Jan 9, 2014

Borrelli + Partners recently completed the design of the City of Kissimmee’s newest pedestrian bridge. This $8 million bridge will cross over John Young Parkway near Columbia Street in Kissimmee and will serve as a gateway to the City. The bridge will connect to the Shingle Creek Regional Trail and will provide much safer access for pedestrians enjoying the trail to cross over John Young Parkway, a six-lane, highly congested roadway. It is expected to be complete by the winter of 2014.

Randy Schrader of the City’s Planning Department gives a brief interview explaining the necessity of the bridge to his City: City of Kissimmee, John Young Parkway Pedestrian Bridge.
