The New Intermodal Transportation Center Coming Soon to the City of DeLand Mon, Apr 1, 2013

DeLand Intermodal Tranportation Center's Groundbreaking CeremonyBorrelli + Partners recently began in the construction phase for the new, $1,365 million transportation hub located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Woodland Boulevard and Euclid Avenue, in DeLand, Florida. Volusia County’s Public Transportation System plans to use the facility as a “super-stop” of sorts for its buses. Once the SunRail commuter rail system is up and running next year, buses will take commuters to and from the DeBary station, and later, the DeLand station, where they can ride the rail line to Orlando.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, March 18, 2013 and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The groundbreaking marks a milestone for the project, which has been stuck in various stages of planning for more than a decade.
