GOAA Bus Maintenance Facility

The Employee Parking Facility’s (EPF) program focuses on providing additional parking for employees and the general public with provisions for bus service to and from the airport.  The project consisted of a maintenance facility, bus dispatch area, an administrative area, and 4,500 parking spaces with a system of covered walkways connected to bus pick-up and drop-off areas.  Borrelli + Partners’ scope of services included all architecture and interior design associated with the design and development of the maintenance facility and restroom/amenities buildings as well as landscape design for the entire site.  The EPF allows for convenient access and egress by employees and patrons with minimal impact on the airport’s existing roadway system.  Included in the planning of the EPF is an onsite child care facility to serve the airport employees.  Other amenities of the EPF include vending areas, training rooms, various offices, a reception area, and a conference room.  In addition, improvements to the existing roadway system and protection of the existing wetland area adjacent to the site are also part of the project.
