OCPS NW Bus Depot Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Thu, Jan 12, 2017
The Orange County Public Schools’ ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, January 10th 2017 marked the grand opening of the Northwest Bus Depot and Fueling Station. Borrelli + Partners is proud to have been selected to lead the architectural design, landscape architecture, and irrigation design for the bus depot.
Additions designed by B+P include a new canopy over the fueling station, a 15,000 gallon self-contained diesel fuel tank with four pumps, a new maintenance inspection building, a Veeder Root Fuel dispensing and tracking system, and repaved bus parking spaces.
With the completion of the bus depot and fueling station, the district expects to save over $400,000 annually. Buses will no longer have to make the drive out to Pine Hills to get fuel, saving over 100,000 miles along with 15,000 gallons of fuel a year.
