OCPS Wheelcats Get New Jerseys Wed, Jun 8, 2016
On Friday, June 3rd, 2016 Borrelli + Partners visited Lake Silver Elementary to deliver new jerseys, coaches’ shirts, and donations, and to spend some time with, the Orange County Wheelcats.
The Wheelcats are an Orange County Public Schools ability basketball team for children with disabilities. Any OCPS student with a physical or visual disability is eligible to join the team and they are held to the same athletic policy standards regarding grade point average, conduct, physicals, emergency medical cards, etc.
With help from Matern Professional Engineering and Technology Research and Consulting Inc., B+P raised a total of $1,500, in addition to the jerseys and coaches’ shirts, for sports supplies such as basketball hoops, basketballs, and other sports related accessories.
