Leesburg Venetian Center is now open!
The ribbon has been cut!
City officials, Borrelli + Partners, and local residents gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the City of Leesburg's new Venetian Center. The project includes a one-story 20,700-square-foot multipurpose building, Dozier Circle reconfiguration, parking facilities, access roads, and landscaping improvements.
The Venetian Center features three charming, spacious banquet rooms. The 7,155-square-foot Harris room is a ballroom with a full panoramic view of Lake Harris and Venetian Gardens. Each room is furnished with A/V equipment and media compatibility.
The Venetian Center features a full catering kitchen and serving bar.
The community center also features a new walking bridge from the 1,760-square-foot covered patio to MLK island and the Venetian Gardens.
New 'Epicenter' of Leesburg
"This is our biggest piece, $9-$10 million project for the city, I think it's going to be the epicenter of the city," Leesburg Mayor John Christian said. "Ironically, it's going to go into one of the Historic Black Neighborhood in our cities. So we are able to now to connect neighborhoods and we are tearing down racial barriers."
