Bomberos Field Park Grand Opening
The ribbon is cut and Orange County's newest field park is open!
The Orange County Parks and Recreation Division is closing in on a milestone. Bomberos Field Park had a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 4th with Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 4 Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero.
The $6.1 million project, located next to Orange County Fire Station 77 on Moss Park Road in Orlando, brings Parks to its long-range goal of creating 14 new multi-purpose fields, which was set in place in 2014.
The Park features three lighted, regulation-sized multi-purpose fields equipped for flag football, lacrosse, soccer, and other field sports.
The Park also features a concession stand, restroom facilities, playground, and walking path.
The playground is equipped with inclusive elements and wheelchair accessibility.
The project included parking, site work, a bathroom and storage facility, and fencing.
The concession and bathroom building displays the beautiful "Natural Florida" Mural by local artist, Cherie Bosela. Take a look at her process here!
