UNF Competition Pool Complex Featured in Athletic Business Journal
We are thrilled to announce that the UNF Competition Pool Complex has been prominently featured in the Athletic Business Journal's Aquatic Design Portfolio. This year's Aquatic Design Portfolio features 40 facilities highlighting aquatic design in high schools, colleges, community centers, waterparks and hospitality settings – each with their own unique approach to providing patrons with the exercise and relaxation benefits afforded by water.
The Student Wellness Complex features a new, Olympic-size, 50-meter-by-25-yard concrete competition pool, along with an LED scoreboard and competition timing system. Sized with nine lanes in the long course direction and 20 lanes in the short course direction, the pool is designed to host a multitude of student aquatic activities, from swim competitions and training to water polo matches and more. The project includes new facilities for locker rooms, athletics offices and support facilities for the pool, totaling approximately 7,600 square feet. The pool and facilities were designed sustainably and include natural gas heating and low water usage backwash.
