B+P Volunteers for the Annual Ocean Conservancy's Coastal Cleanup

On September 21st, Borrelli + Partners participated in the Ocean Conservancy’s 39th Annual International Coastal Cleanup in Volusia County. Out of the 25 sites participating, the B+P team assisted in cleaning up Lighthouse Point Park at Ponce Inlet on Saturday morning. Our team cleaned up over 40 pounds of garbage & recyclables — ranging from a bed comforter to the usual plastic bottles and cans.

Last year, over 1,100 volunteers in Volusia County helped pick up around 8,000 pounds of trash. Millions of volunteers around the world come together every year to join the International Coastal Cleanup through coordinators in their region. In fact, ICC volunteers contribute to the world’s largest database on marine debris, helping scientists and advocates around the world tackle ocean trash at a global scale.
