Barrier One Manufacturing Facility

Borrelli + Partners, Inc. was commissioned to design a new Barrier One manufacturing facility (moisture vapor reduction concrete admixture), which consists of approximately 2,400 SF administration offices and elongated three-bay manufacturing/storage areas, totaling approximately 18,000 SF.

The facility includes a large capacity solar hot water heater for the manufacturing process and gas-fueled instantaneous hot water heater for the administration areas (kitchen & gym showers). The facility includes a number of energy conservative design elements and principals, such as the large capacity solar hot water heater, LED lighting, utilizing sprayed-in-place polyurethane foam insulation, as well as energy efficient HVAC systems
